A little bit personal...

Yesterday I started part-time work at a church coffee shop and it's going good. I just have to talk to people and more importantly listen to them... not especially dynamic but already it's been a real eye openner. Today two people made me smile; Gary, a homeless guy who's up in court in two weeks, pleading guilty for God know's what and Ken, a driving instructor who's thinks he's got a stomach ulcer so he's started doing Tai Chi and Yoga and is hoping to pack in his job and do something less stressful. It made me wonder what we have to offer these people? Alpha, maybe... but if not then what else? What can the Methodist Church in Darlington offer the criminal and the mystic?
